Our rodeo buckles are handmade. They start by carving out the scallop shape from the base metal and then pound it into a concave shape. Working of the designs developed and approved by you, the artist begins sculpting and etching out your layouts. Once all the design work and customization is finished, and the buckle has been examined for quality and accuracy, it is sent to be plated with sterling silver, gold, and copper. This involves placing the buckle in a bath of gold, silver, and copper. An electrical current is run through the bath and the precious metals are fused to the buckle in an ionic bond.
The buckle will then be cleaned and checked for accuracy and impurities. A micro thin layer of coating is then applied to prevent tarnishing. Finally stones are set, and the whole piece is ready to be shipped off to our customers.
