This award buckle is no mass produced piece of tin. Our expert silversmiths make each buckle by hand, utilize cutting edge technology, the finest metals, and skills developed and passed down through the centuries. Each letter and floral design is precisely hewn, piece by piece, with the highest standards of precision and care before being fused to the base. Once these, the florals, and motifs are fashioned, they are welded onto the base. Using the state of the art technology, the precious metals are bonded to the surface of the buckle with an electrical charge. The buckle is dipped in a bath of pure silver, gold, and copper. An electrical current is run through the bath and the precious metals are fused to the buckle in an ionic bond. After one more final round of quality control, the buckle will be polished and sent off, ready to be awarded.
