They then weld on the ribbons and motif and. Once all the lettering has been hand engraved onto the ribbons, and the buckle has been examined for quality and accuracy, it is sent to be plated with sterling silver, and copper. This involves placing the buckle in a bath of gold, silver, and copper. An electrical current is run through the bath and the precious metals are fused to the buckle in an ionic bond. The buckle will then be cleaned and checked for accuracy and impurities. A micro thin layer of coating is then applied to prevent tarnishing. Finally the whole piece is ready to be shipped off to our customers.
