At the top and bottom of the buckle are two gold ribbons with hand engraved black letters. On each side of the buckle are spaces for the date in hand cut numbers in gold. At the center is a space for a gold motif of your choice that best represents the award and your organization. The edge is a border of gold rope.
Our western buckles designs are created and developed by our expert design team. From the size and shape, to the placement of the words, to the arrangement of the specific metals, every part of this buckle is deliberately pieced together to the smallest detail. We take pride though in crafting a unique award buckle for our customers that reflects their personal tastes and sensibilities. We will not charge you per letter or for changing the motif. All of this customization is free of charge. That means no nickel and diming our customers for every little change. Lone Star Silversmith is dedicated to making sure that every customer is delighted with every buckle they order
Our award buckles are handmade. They start by carving out the scallop shape from the base metal and then pound it into a concave shape. Working of the designs developed and approved by you, the artist begins sculpting and etching out your layouts. Once all the design work and customization is finished, and the buckle has been examined for quality and accuracy, it is sent to be plated with sterling silver, gold, and copper. This involves placing the buckle in a bath of gold, silver, and copper. An electrical current is run through the bath and the precious metals are fused to the buckle in an ionic bond.
The buckle will then be cleaned and checked for accuracy and impurities. A micro thin layer of coating is then applied to prevent tarnishing. Finally stones are set, and the whole piece is ready to be shipped off to our customers.
